Inspired by Dante Alighieri's The Divine Comedy, the Barolo Palace offers a vertical journey where architecture and literature merge. The tour traverses the three main realms of the poem —Hell, Purgatory, and Paradise— translated into space, light, and height.
The visit begins at the Barolo Passage, Hell, where the symbolism of the ornaments introduces the history and spirit of this unique skyscraper. The ascent continues to Purgatory, where one of Mario Palanti's boldest decisions is revealed: the dome does not align with the building's axis, marking a path that shifts and tensions.
On the terrace of the 13th floor, the city opens up and the Lighthouse begins to emerge. A final ascent up the Tower leads to Paradise. The hallways narrow, the height imposes itself, and the lookout balconies offer some of the most stunning views of Buenos Aires.
The tour culminates at the Barolo Palace Lighthouse, located inside a glass dome nearly one hundred meters high. Restored in 2010, this point concentrates the symbolic meaning of the building and leaves an unforgettable experience. The tour ends at the Museum Office, a space that evokes the spirit of the 1920s and concludes the journey.
